I was digging through boxes looking for the external speakers I use for my computer, and I found several unused boxes of insulin pump supplies. Hurray! That's a boom. I now have several months' worth of supplies before I have to call Animas and order more. My medical insurance (which is going to be defunct after December anyway) is really lousy when I comes to paying for pump supplies. I think my share of the cost is up to $100/month. The insurance company doesn't even pay half.
The last time I saw my endocrinologist, he noted that my pump is probably out of warranty. Those suckers cost $5000 -- or else they did when I bought this one. I had real insurance then. I don't know what I am going to do if this pump breaks. It sure would be nice to have real medical insurance instead of this crap derived from Medicare.
