This is the third month I have put an ad up on Freecycle looking for lamps -- and guess what! I got two responses (so far). One person has several lamps and they live nearby in Redmond, and the second has two lamps and they're not far off in Woodinville. Through last month's ad I got a bedside table lamp, but it's small and doesn't provide much light (alas). But it was better than the one I had been using, which was practically useless.
Now I need bedside tables.
May, 2010. A new home in Redmond, Washington. I decide to transform my life and rejuvenate my health, to rebuild my physical and emotional strength, to find balance in mind, body and spirit, to create order in my environment -- in short, to begin anew in a new place. This is my journey.

Progress Saturday May 22
This morning was rough because I had trouble waking up. I felt somewhat better after using the light box, but fell asleep again in the afternoon. This was even after making sure I slept in the complete dark last night. This afternoon around 3:00 I drove to Kirkland to pick up some Ikea bookshelves (via a FreeCycle offer), then to the grocery store, followed by the library. I got home to discover a Puget Sound Energy bill in my mailbox with a $200 deposit on it, and was I ever angry. Plus, there was yet another Verizon ad in my mailbox (they even solicited my business at my door a few days ago grrrr). I hate feeling angry like that. I remind myself of my dad.
I read the energy bill and it says I can provide credit references to avoid the deposit. Whew! I need to call them Monday.
I wish I could get Verizon to stop bothering me.
